Was kostet das Motorrad ?

From Qazvin to Saveh and Delijan is a long non winding road. Most time just straight, but lot of trucks which make a nice dark skincolor until evening, when you open your helmet in the wrong moment. The only break on this boaring part is a old Karavanserei. With some phantasie you can imagine the life hundred years ago The last part from Delijan to Kashan is a nice, smal road, winding up to 2.300 m high sandmountains. In Kashan we found a usable hotel, right beside the entry of the 3 km long bazar. Here in a former bathhose we spent 3 Euros for two cups of tea. Sumetimes, we need this amount for our dinner. But place and atmosphere were amazing. All together a good day, no big repairs. In the morning I had to buy two screws for my left frontcover, that I lost the day before. 375 km and also a little bit of culture. Masuleh is a smal, old village in the mountains behind Rasht. Most roofs of the houses are used as a way on the next "floor". Our further trip brought us back down and to Ghazvil, a smal city with many interesting palaces, museums and english teacher. The hotel we selected, was so new and clean, that the receptionist would not allow us to take our helmets with us to the rooms. The most motorbikes in Iran have not more than 220 cc. Therefore most men and young boys are very interested in our 'big' bikes. They are more impressed of the german BMW, than in my Honda. But the superstar in this show is the GPS. Everybody looks fascinated on the little screen, waiting until anything happens. This article is also written under use of a bypass of stupid security rules. But I would have the wrong job if I could not manage this ... so please just wait until tomorrow to read more about our trip. After the 2,5 hrs border-procedure (hectical because of 3 busses but not unfriendly) we visited the monastir of St. Thaddäus, one of the oldest in the world. We spent the first night in Tabriz. Entering the city in darkness and during rushhour was a new experience we survived without problems. The 14th. hotel we asked had free rooms for us. Leaving next morning was also not so easy, because of not 100% correct GPS maps. After Ardabil you have to cross some mountains. After the last, you think you are in Styria. We drove down the passroad, always the boarder of Asserbaidschan on left side of the road. (some of you remember the old winestreet between Styria and Slovenia).. The caspean see was warm and along the stonebeacheas you will find hotels and cottages for holidays. Also we spent a night there to sleep with the noise of the sea. After this days we can say: - Iran is mire secure than Italy - People are friendly and nosey (what is your country) - helpful until too helpful (sometimes they get in conflict who is allowed to help us) - beautiful and versatilely - at the moment very cheap (1 lit fuel 15-20 cent) Now at my second visit in this charming little city, where the style of driving is very familiar with the Indian Way, I got the clear View of Mount Ararat (Agri Dag). Also my Bike needed a smal operation, the power on the connector for the fan was missed. This was a little problem in Istanbul, but can become a bigger with upcoming higher temperatures. We solved the fault with a little bypassoperation. After all this work we followed our cultural mission by visiting the palace of İshak Pascha (1685). There we met also 4 bikers from Germany on the way to Iran also. The evening was spent with beer and the best Pofiteroles since long time. Mabe this is the last entry for some weekks, could be that our server is not reachable from Iran, so stay tuned and have a look from time to time. . Leaving Macka we climb up to the highlands of Eastanatolia. So we are allways in heights between 1700 and 2400m above sealevel. For this hard work, the bikes get their first special reward in form of half a liter of oil. It seems to be a endless stone-dessert, looks like a charming moon valley . After 563 km we reach Dogubayazit. It`s dark at about 6 pm. but no problem to find the hotel Grand Derya. They are offering rooms with Ararat - view. So lets see ..... Here in Turkey biker have a very hard life. Every 20km's you will find police control. Speed limits are 10 km/h less than the limits for cars. So you have to be very carefully and farsighted. On our daily cultural event, we had the chance to visit the wonderful Sümela monastery. During this visit we rescued a german tourist. Our good deed of the day (except saving Turkey's budget by buing fuel for more than € 2.10/lit.).
Soll man türkische Aktien kaufen ? This was yesterday's hightprofile on the sometimes very naturaly roads along the coastline. Permanently up and down, permanently left or right. We call it bikers paradise. . The sugarside of our life was yesterday's cultural and social program. There where too many sweets like Fatima, Aishe, Suleika and and and..... This was also the reason for the delay in our blog this morning. Teabreak at the coast, sunny, 29° and turquois water inviting you to swim, but it's stil a long way to go..... This and the next days we will follow the beautifull coastline along the Black Sea. You cannot find this part in any holiday-catalog, because it's reserved for turkish tourist's. This morning started with 42 km's on crushed rock roads and 3 motorbikeloving dogs. This wild dogs running beside you until 50-60 km/h and forcing you increasing your speed. During that run, they try to taste yor calf (Wadel). Later we passed Eregly and Zangoldok. On late afternoon we had only fantastic 283 kms ridden but 3925m up and down. This scenery will not change the next 2-3 days. Healthy lunch and the very nice village of Amasra, with a citywall from the 9th century. So you see, also our cultural program is running on a high level. (tomorrow we try to bring you a report about bellydance (-; ). So stay tuned ! After a 543 km ride we are again at the Black Sea coast but now in Turkey. Istanbul has been very nice 15 km's on the emergencyline along 4 other lines more stop than go traffic. Temperatures again nearby 30°C. Thanks to Andy Mayer the Honda now needs only 5.1 liters instead of 7,5 l/100km, so I'm saving up to 10 liters a day. This means ~ 15 beers !! When I drink them all on evening, on next day I only can do 200 km's instead of 500 - so saving again 15 liters ...... sounds like a perpetuum mobile (-: Cheers for now, have to make beer-savings again ! (Here in Turkey they call it EFES-TEA) Hard day .... funny 10,3° C at starting time, empty battery in driving computer, some extra targets with "sleeping" bikes, some rain, the most slippery road ever - seen in Varna, .... but every bad phase has an end - so our's also. Lunch in Varna was hot tea and chicken-soup. Afternoon and leaving Varna the rain stopped and roads became "bikable" again. Nice walk threw Neszebar and at least a very nice dinner (last pork filet for a looooong long time) in Sozopol. We think (and hope) it was the last cold and rainy day until Goa. By the way, we are happy about your comments, so dont be shy and leave some words. So, jetzt soll uns Bulgarien überraschen! |
